Breech of contract is not a breech of free speech. This is not a first amendment issue. The views and options of Phil Robertson reflect upon his employer, so he was fired. The first amendment is specifically design to protect American citizens from government censorship. This does not apply to private contracts with a private company. Phil Robertson was warned not to make inflammatory public statements and still showed poor judgement with his words and and now has to live with the consequences.
